How to Heel Your Feet After Wearing Your New Online Shoes Purchases From Australia

I think the ease of purchasing online shoes in Australia has a lot to answer for. These days my wardrobe is full of shiny new pumps waiting for a night out. With so many new heels to wear in, I’ve noticed after a big night out my feet are particular sore. As I keep wearing my new shoes, it seems my feet always take a bit of beating. If you have struggled with sore feet inflicted from high heel usage, below are five tips to help sooth your poor, abused feet.

Go barefoot
After a night on the town with your favourite heels, it’s important to give your feet time to heal. Going barefoot is an extremely important part of the healing process. Blisters, swelling and bruises heal best when they’re not enclosed in shoes, so let your feet breath easy on their own.

Treat any open blisters
If you’ve awoken to a nasty blister on your foot after a big night out in your hells, make sure you attend to them. In no situation is it ok to pop the blisters. While you may think it will help, it actually makes it worse. In fact, a blister is actually like a natural bandaid, and is created by the body to make sure the skin underneath stays nice and clean. Instead, disinfect the area and pop a bandaid on top.

Soak your feet
You have most likely put a lot of undeserved strain on your poor little feet after a night of high heel abuse. To say sorry to your feet, draw a warm foot bath and let your feet soak. At first when you sink your feet into the hot water it may sting slightly, but you need to push past the pain. Soon the hot water will start to work and end up soothing your muscles. If you’ve particularly thrashed your feet on a night out, try dripping in some essential oils to provide extra soothing. Essential oils known for their healing power include basil, marjoram and peppermint.

Wait
In most cases, if you’re a lover of high heels, you want to be back parading around in your highest pair as soon as possible. The bad news is, wearing heels straight after you’ve already done damage to your feet, will only result in more damage. Trust me, damage on damage is not good. Much patience is needed during the healing time to ensure you don’t cause major damage to your feet. It’s important to stay off those fabulous new heels you’ve just bought, until your feet have stopped hurting and all the wounds are healed.

Get a pedicure
While high heels are pretty, your feet after wearing them for long periods of time are not. To inject a bit of beauty back into your feet, a pedicure is a good idea. While most women think a pedicure is just a new layer of toe nail polish, it’s much more than that. A good beautician will exfoliate your feet as well as pumice the calluses you’ve built up on your feet, away. Lets not forget the beautiful new hue of nail polish that will give your feet a new lease on life.

If your feet are recovering from high heel abuse, sit back at do a bit of online shopping. Check out the online shoes available from Shoe Shed at www.shoeshed.com.au.

Buy Shoes Online and Display Them Properly

Do you buy shoes online like they are going out of fashion? Do you have so many shoeboxes cluttering your bedroom floor you don’t know what to do with them? Do you have a pair of shoes that matches every outfit? If you answer, ‘yes,’ to any of these questions then go you! You are a woman after my very own heart, and I’m sure most other females are jealous of your bold shoe endeavors.

Let’s face it ladies, who doesn’t like a pair of beautiful shoes? Yes, I know it’s stereotypical but let’s be honest, don’t a beautiful pair of shoes make your day a hell of a lot better? Don’t they make you feel more confident and give you a spring in your step? Carrie Bradshaw put it best when she claimed a nice pair of shoes makes the walk that little bit easier for a single girl, as she power strutted up the streets of New York in her killer Manolo Blahniks. Whether you’re single or in a committed relationship, shoes are always going to be there for you.

So, if you’re shoe crazy, then chances are you are gong to want a great way to display your purchases. There’s nothing worse than having an enviable shoe collection, only to let them sit sadly at the bottom of your wardrobe, waiting for their day in the sun.

Shelving
Hiding your beautiful shoes at the bottom of your wardrobe is basically a crime against fashion. This is easily fixed by some inexpensive shelving. If you love shoes that much, then why not wake up to looking at them? Position your shelves perhaps on a bedroom wall, or positioned around the bedroom. Try and be a bit creative and allow your shoes to shine like artwork, on display. To avoid making your shoes look a little cluttered, be consistent and group similar shoe styles together. Also try spacing them out so they are displayed perfectly.

Perfectly organised
If you are a little bit of a neat freak and like things in perfect order, then why not storing your shoes in uniform boxes. Perhaps buy in bulk white shoe boxes, which will protect your shoes at the same time as make your closet orderly. A nice touch is taking a polaroid of your shoes and attaching them to the shoe box so you can easily locate the shoes when you need them.

All boxed in
If you have been blessed with creative flair and love DIY, this next trick is for you. Purchase some colourful wooden storage crates from a local craft or hardware store and attach them to a spare wall. These look amazing and really act as a feature of your home. You can place shoes inside the crates on display, or even prop them on the outside for a different effect.

So, there you have it. If you’ve always envied Carrie Bradshaw’s shoes and wanted her wardrobe to display them, you can do it yourself. While it may not be the dream walk-in wardrobe you’ve always wanted, these creative designs allow you to creatively show off your shoes in a beautiful way.

The great thing is, by trying one of these ideas, you have more room, and more of an excuse to buy more shoes. In fact, get a head start on new shoes by checking out those available at Shoe Shed. You can easily buy shoes online from Shoe Shed’s online store at www.shoeshed.com.au and they’re delivered straight to your door, ready for your new shoe storage.

A Pair of shoes for Every Day of The Week

When we look into our wardrobes to choose an outfit to face the day, we are undoubtedly influenced by our current mood, and the same goes when we turn our attention downwards towards our shoe collection. Your shoe wardrobe needs to accompany you through the thick and thin, the soaring highs and the depressing lows of the working week. An expansive collection of beautiful women’s shoes is essential to ensure you find the perfect choice every day.

Monday morning rolls around and you force yourself to crawl out of bed. Your feet are probably still aching from the weekend, and a lack of sleep rules out the possibility of maintaining any form of balance in tottering heels. But Monday is all about starting afresh, looking sharp and getting off to a good start, while still nursing your tender feet. Monday’s shoe is the sophisticated black flat. This choice can be cleverly cushioned with heel grips without looking sloppy. Subtle metallic accents are a nice touch, and a pointed toe gets extra style points.

Tuesday is about easing back into the daily grind. Tuesday is a day to put your head down and get things done. Try a kitten heel or three inch stacked heel for a bit of elegance without the discomfort. A Mary Jane ankle strap doesn’t go astray in terms of additional support. You’ll feel good about yourself, and comfortable confidence is the foundation for a work wardrobe. The Wednesday hump seems to rise and fall every week. The forced pep of the first few days has evaporated and you’re looking for the light at the end of the tunnel. Wednesday is about just trying to get through, which means an emphasis on comfort. Flat boots are a great choice to get over those midweek blues and charge through the rest of the week.

Thursday feels like the end is in sight. You’re gearing up towards 5 o’clock on Friday and your wardrobe should follow suit. Wedges are the perfect step up for the penultimate weekday. You can go a little higher than you would usually dare at work, because the large ground contact surface greatly reduces the chance of a humiliating slip. Try a peep toe for a daring edge to the traditional work attire. You’ve made it to Friday and it’s time to celebrate. Friday is all about the patent stiletto. This classic chic style demands respect in the office but is also perfect to carry on through to after work drinks, whether it is at the pub or a trendy cocktail bar. They’re not the most practical if you’re planning to be on your feet all day, but it’s Friday so everyone knows you’re not going to get any actual work done anyway.

The weekend will no doubt hold at least four or five shoe transformations. On Saturday afternoon you’re super productive as you wait for your big event that night. You’re rushing around cleaning the house to get rid of all of your pent up energy. This is the opportunity for some me-time, whether it is a jog around the block or a yoga class. A good pair of supportive sneakers will help you do your best. Saturday night is time for the strappy heel to match your new party dress. Sunday morning is time for slippers but we’ll disregard that. The rest of your lazy Sunday is suited to sandals or flatforms perfect for brunching with girlfriends.

It’s Monday again, and everybody knowns you can’t be seen outfit repeating. It looks like you’ll need to stock up on your collection. Visit Shoe Shed at http://www.shoeshed.com.au/ to check out their fabulous women’s shoes range.
